Bio

FayRowe-SM-14-b

As a wife, mother, grandmother, former school teacher, award-winning author, and two-time cancer overcomer, I believe in refusing to settle for anything but God’s best plan. With a passion for God’s integrity and faithfulness, I try to write from a perspective that helps believers to trust God and grow in faith; rise above fear, one promise at a time; and effectively share their faith with the next generation. At conference events, women’s clubs, Sunday morning services and Bible studies, and over coffee at Tim Hortons, I do my best to speak truths from the Word of God with simplicity, candour, and humour.

As a writer and speaker, my goal is to invite my audience to join me on a journey of discovery. I believe that a personal “chase for truth” is an exciting and worthy endeavour, and this quote from my first book, Smooth Stones & Promises, explains why:  “Not settling takes the courageous and committed heart of a truth chaser because although truth may reach the mind by casual hearing, it doesn’t settle into the heart and become functional and fruitful without personal engagement.” Paraphrasing Ralph Waldo Emerson, I believe that the corn we grow ourselves nourishes best.

Born and raised in a small community on the East coast of Newfoundland, in Canada, I’ve lived in British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and even the great state of Texas, before nestling into a lovely life in Ontario, Canada with my husband, Glenn. Among my greatest loves are Italian food, anything chocolate, and the sound of the ocean; but mostly my husband Glenn, daughter Gillian, son-in-law Ryan, and my two sweet grand-babies.
